Kenzo Napa, presented by owners Kenzo and Natsuko Tsujimoto, is an exceptional, authentic Japanese restaurant featuring a traditional prix fixe kaiseki menu, located in downtown Napa.

The fusion of Japanese tradition with innovative techniques and presentation is sure to transform all perceptions of Japanese cuisine. The sublime, rich flavors of Japanese Edomae sushi and kaiseki delicacies are created with seafood selections from acclaimed markets flown in from Japan. Every dish is expertly paired with the full Kenzo Estate wine collection, along with a selection of fine Japanese sakes and beers in a peaceful environment where the focus is on the chefs and cuisine.

Kenzo is the proud recipient of 7 consecutive Michelin Star awards, noted for sake and wine lists.

My wife and I have lived in Japan. We have been here several times and never been disappointed. Experience real Japanese food as if you were in Japan. We will be back again.

Service is great. Food is ok, too salty for our taste, and all the cook fish is over cook.

After a multi course tasting, it was unusual not to enjoy one of the courses. Especially at a 1 Michelin star restaurant with very good reviews. The Michelin star and the reviews is what brought us to this little hidden place in Napa. Despite the accolades, this restaurant did not impress, the atmosphere was nice with a Japanese influence, and the service was very good. Yet the main focus, the food was very disappointing. It was so unimpressive it had us questioning our own taste buds but in the end when we knew we were served less than good food. To highlight a few of the disasters, we had dry Seabass , a selection of nigiri with overcooked rice tasteless and dessert which was unappealing to the taste buds. Watermelon slices that lacked watermelon flavor, mango pudding with an unappealing texture and taste and a lemon ice/sorbet that was somewhat good, but after $900 you have to eat something right. Oh and also the wine and champagne were good.

The food was excellent, the service was mindful and well thought out. We went to celebrate my birthday and it was so special! We did the grand wine pairing as well, and the wines were delightful. Would absolutely recommend!

For the price, we expected to be “wowed” and it was unfortunately not even close course after course. The service was spectacular but the food left us wanting for sure.

Absolutely amazing! From the restaurant itself to the atmosphere to the staff to the food - amazing. We did the tasting menu with the premium pairings. It was perfect because it included both pairings of Sake & Kenza’s wines which I wanted to try. The explanation of each food & pairing was my favorite. It was literally a journey though Japan. Our waiter really knew his stuff & his passion for Kenza’s chefs & the wines shined through. We will definitely return!
