I really wanted to give a higher rating as Ken’s is a very nice restaurant with great food, but we had a couple of major issues. First off house red wine was not good. It tasted like something I have bought at Aldi. Maybe the bottle was older? My husband ordered the chicken piccata. The dish itself is excellent but it literally came with less than a thin half breast of chicken. The amount was less than a third of what I had received when ordering it around a year ago. We were shocked when the entree was brought to our table saying “That’s it??” It was a child’s portion at best, and my husband is not a heavy eater. I actually gave him several pieces of my steak so he wouldn’t leave hungry. We voiced our concern to our waitress who was very nice and gave him a free glass of wine, but she should have taken the dish back. Unless we’re both ordering steaks, I’m not sure if we’ll come back to Ken’s because I don’t want to have to worry about not getting enough food. We came for my birthday and I spent the entire amount of time feeling badly for my husband. Very disappointing.

The food was delicious. Came hot and very well presented. My shrimp linguine was very good. The lake perch is always excellent.

A great dining experience! Food was excellent! It was very noisy though! Hard to talk! I would definitely go again!

Usually, it’s good but today I had the chop steak and it was horrible. Service is good but the chop steak was really bad.

There isn’t anything on this menu that isn’t delicious! Colleen our server was so attentive and friendly! Nate and Dan made sure our table was always cleared or water refilled! Whether special occasions (this was my daughter’s birthday) or you want to have a wonderful dinner - Ken’s on Western is the place to go!

Ken’s never disappoints. Great service. In fact, over the top. I can’t count how many times our table was visited by the server and assistants. It was crazy good and great food. The mushrooms were not the lousy fried ones like most restaurants bought from a regional supplier. They were hand breaded and made. Best I’ve ever had. Pork chops were huge and tasty. I had the fisherman’s platter. Hit and tasty. Had several beers and a bill of $127 with a good tip. Highly recommended

What a great spot in the neighborhood. This is going back on the roster when I'm home in Beverly. Cute waiters, too.
