We were seated and eventually assisted by a server, since "Olivia", who we were told would be serving our table, never appeared. We observed the 'Cocktail Cart' across the restaurant and I mentioned that I had read that cocktails were prepared table-side. We ordered cocktails for the table-side experience but were surprised when our server brought the cocktails to the table ready made from the bar. No cart then.
The main dish I ordered was the Halibut, with two side dishes. When the meal arrived the Halibut looked as if it had been plated some considerable time before being brought to the table. The Halibut was cold and the outside rubbery. The fish was very dry and the sauce was cold and had a skin on it.
The sides were not any better. The creamed spinach was cold, as was the baked potato which, again, appeared to have languished in the kitchen for too long and was of below average quality in skin and inside. We felt pressure to leave the restaurant as soon as possible, being repeatedly told, "The kitchen closes at 8:00 pm".
It was a busy day but a good kitchen can survive the challenges presented and maintain the quality of food and service.
We shall give the restaurant one more try in the future but we are not rushing back .........
