At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

As always food was amazing staff very accommodating for any changes to the menu where possible. Definitely go back

Everything was really good. Food exceptional - especially crab and scallops. It was quiet when we went at lunchtime. Only slight issue was coffee which was not to out taste. A hidden gem.

What an amazing restaurant. We went as a pre birthday dinner and were not disappointed. All the food was so exceptional - we were all stunned by the combination of flavours and the imaginative twists the dishes were given. Would recommend to anyone going to Glasgow and will certainly revisit given the chance. The scallops, the stone bass the monkfish and belly pork and the chicken Kiev so completely delicious. Well done to the innovative chefs(s)

Service of meals was slow and meals came at all different times so we all ate separate which i didn’t like

My first visit here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It’s a lovely space, with a nice cosy atmosphere thanks to twinkly fairy lights. We shared several of the small plates - all were beautifully cooked & elegantly presented. We really enjoyed the variety on offer. Service was friendly & attentive, & the price was very reasonable for the quality we received. Would definitely recommend a visit, will certainly return.

We absolutely love this restaurant and will be visiting regularly. Love the sharing plates, all seafood is of impeccable quality, the service is 10/10 and the prices will leave you pleasantly surprised.

Nice bread and whipped butter, good langoustines and crab doughnut, great mussels in cider/chorizo. Stone bass had little taste and was slightly overpowered by the mint in the broad bean/gazpacho base. Good chips and excellent bottle of Pecorino. Service was OK but not particularly proactive eg we had to ask for bowls to put shells etc and ask for these to be replenished when they were full.

The main course for my friend never came. We think another server took it to the wrong table. The servers were defensive and not very apologetic. It was very good food and unique.
