At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

    Our go to restaurant in Glasgow. Fabulous fish and seafood dishes with a twist. Great quality ingredients. Langoustines are superb and Kelp’s take on the ubiquitous “ wedge salad” is superbly refreshing and surprisingly moreish… we ordered a second.

    All in the party chose from the Market Menu, which was good value and has a good selection to choose from. The Tobermory smoked trout was selected by four in the party and all commented that it was an interesting and tasty flavour combination, and the Shetland mussels were excellent. However, the addition of a green vegetable or a salad in the side choices would be good, as a few considered the choices were carbohydrate heavy. The ambience was lovely and the staff were pleasant, which made for a lovely friends get together and we would return.

    Delicious freshly prepared food with excellent service. We ordered cocktails to begin and they were absolutely superb. Highly recommend.

    For a restaurant that celebrates local sustainable food, specialising in seafood, it’s fantastic. Every dish was a delight and as our party also included a vegetarian, it was good to see the plant-based dishes were equally inventive. The staff were superb, with great advice. If you have the oysters, have the rhubarb and ginger with it. If you get a chance to go here, add this restaurant to your list of places to go in Glasgow. Very highly recommended!

    Delicious fresh seafood, a bit over sauced by adventurous chef. Very friendly and helpful staff - will definitely return soon.
