At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

    Kelp is one of my favourite go to’s in Glasgow and this visit didn’t disappoint with a lot of new and different options. Highly recommend

    Such a good meal. Every mouthful was absolutely delicious - exciting, different flavours. Service perfect - waiting staff always there when needed, but not intrusive.

    I love the food here. Fabulous oysters with rhubarb and ginger mignonette followed by spicy, citrusy ceviche style stone bass crudo and then Shetland coley with morcilla, green onion, quince and almond. This is delicious, imaginative cooking with a focus onScottish produce. Excellent service and decent wine list too.

    This was an amazing find; what a lovely restaurant. Staff were so friendly and the food amazing. Will be going back!!

    Excellent welcome and explanation of the menu and specials. We had almost everything on the market menu and particularly enjoyed the smoked trout, the chicken with black garlic, the celeriac, and the two favourite side dishes were the samphire and the cabbage. Of course the scallops were also fabulous! At first I thought the music was too loud but as the restaurant became busier the music was actually off before I realised it and the general noise was the buzz of people enjoying the food and atmosphere. A very successful night out!

    Hadn’t been to Kelp in a while but will definitely be back soon. Great choice in the Market menu and everything cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The mussels were fantastic and the coley with morcilla ragu a real stand out. Great choice of wine and a lovely place to sit and enjoy the food.

    Took my son as a treat and it didn’t disappoint, the food was next level. Such an innovative menu that was simple delicious. Lovely staff and a fabulous experience.
