At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

Wanna try seafood in Glasgow and KELP fully delivers what I expect: let the seafood be with most original taste without too much pretentious makeup. Love it.

Love Kelp! My partner and I go for the oysters especially the rubharb and ginger ones. The staff and management are all lovely and we always enjoy our visits and have also taken friends along who have equally enjoyed it.

First time visitors and really liked the light, airy feel inside the restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us enjoy our night. The cocktails and most of the food were excellent and fun but I’m getting a bit fed up with “your plates will be delivered when the kitchen has prepared them”. This just ends up with an unbalanced meal. Big letdown were the “crispy” roast potatoes. We sent ours back twice. It isn’t possible to turn new potatoes into crispy roasties.

Every dish was creatively showing chef’s remarkable knowledge of the food presenting food quality of a Michelin-star restaurant while charging only fractions of the price!

Food was excellent. Unusual combo flavourings but they worked really well. The crab donut is spicy and sweet at the same time. The sugar crunch sounds like it shouldn't work, but it really does. My only mild criticism is about the loo - it felt a little cheap compared to the rest of the premises. Ditch the plastic flowers.
