Great food and service, they were out of one of the dishes we wanted, but that was OK, comes with a new opening. Will certainly return.

Had such an incredible experience. Oscar was our server and ensured everything was timed to perfection while giving all the best recommendations. The food has unique flavors, the music is vibey and the staff is attentive! Highly recommend!

this is a new restaurant and every employee seem to care to deliver a good customer service, however we received over delivery of the customer service in my opinion, to the point that it got a little bit annoying. While we were still working on the food; as there is food on the plates, I sat down closer to my friend to show a few pictures on my phone and 5 times, we counted, 5 times they asked if we finished eating within less than 10 minutes. And it’s all different people were coming and asking if we are done. The entire restaurant is empty, felt like we were pushed to leave what we did and finished the conversation on the street because they wouldn’t let us to enjoy the time. The music is very loud and there is no bottled still water. Friend rice with mushrooms- not my favorite. Octopus was delicious. LOMO CHIFERO- steak was very tasty and tender, the veggies are amazing, my only note is to why does it say potato on the menu but it comes with fries? that was quite disappointing. But overall the dish was tasty!

Marcos at the bar is incredible. Ask for the Marco Special with Campari and Tequila. Can’t wait to go back.

One of the best new spots in Chicago. Each dish was exquisitely tasteful (we ordered the ceviche, branzino and short ribs). Staff was very nice and impressively knowledgeable about the menu. 10/10 experience and will be going back soon to try the rest of their dishes. I’d order about 1.5 dishes per person to feel full. Lastly, the drinks were also amazing so I’d recommend trying that as well.

Kayao is hands down the best Peruvian restaurant in the city. There is a small but well thought out menu, drinks were amazing, and the service was on point! We will be back!

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Upscale vibe, great food, cocktail menu, service. Had the arroz con pato and their version of lomo saltado which were both fantastic. Look forward to adding this to the dining rotation in the hood.

Wonderful visit to Kayao. The food was excellent and service as fantastic - really made sure we were pleased with everything and didn’t little things to make sure of it. Highlights were the Oyster with a Delicous Peruvian take on the traditional accoutrements, grilled branzino and Pisco Sour. 10/10 recommend.
