Great service, and excellent sushi. The shishitos could be slightly spicier but that’s a minor issue, on the whole everything was delicious.

Food is always excellent- we love sitting at the center counter, as we get to watch the food being prepared and interact with Chef Jose! Everytime we dine, Chef Jose remembers us! His personality makes the experience that much better. He cooks our Tomahawk ribeye to perfection every time!

Just an awesome meal for six of us. Gabriel, our sever, was as good as one can be. The Omakase meal was incredible.

Food and prices are extreme, no doubt. Hard to find a sushi place with good quality and reasonable prices. $250 for 2 people.

The Health Service charge didn’t help the price that’s for sure. Service was impeccable as always but food portions also smaller.

Your choice of wine is so limited it’s impossible to have good choices for a glass and not a bottle. Your Chardonnay is undrinkable.

Excellent food and service. Always happy with quality of ingredients and taste of food. Have not yet been disappointed here. Have excellent consistency in their food quality and in their service. Highly recommend.

We have been to Katsuya many times, but have been disappointed in the level of service with long delays the last few times. On this visit, the waiter took our food order and started to walk away without asking whether we wanted a drink or sake. I said wait "I want to order a drink" so he said "i'll be right back for the drink order" and didn't come back for about 20 minutes. The food came out quickly. By the time he came back all the food had come out and we had eaten several of the dishes. Then by the time the drink actually arrived we were basically done with eating. Then he asked if we wanted dessert, dropped off a desert menu, and didn't come back for 10 more minutes. We figured this was a trend and just told him we'll take the check now. Unusually the restaurant had SO many empty tables on a Sunday night at 7 PM. Usually it would be very busy. I don't know what is going on there but we will probably not be back.
