We tried Kasumi tonight and wanted to love it. It’s located in the waterstone hotel and view is amazing. Unfortunately the dining experience did not match the ambiance. The tables and chairs looked nice aesthetically but were miserably uncomfortable. How can a high end restaurant have solid wood park bench seats and think it’s ok? They need to get cushions immediately. After an hour meal my back and elbows were hurting. The portions are very small and priced too high for what it was. The sushi was basic and not nearly good enough for a high-end boca raton venue…..I would describe as pretty looking strip mall quality rolls and nigiri. The cooked dishes were just average as well. Desert was a frozen donut stuffed with cream. There are many better Japanese restaurants in boca and when you spend $400 for 2 people to have dinner you need to be better than tonight’s showing.

The sashimi and appetizers were truly melt in your mouth delicious. The bar menu had a great bourbon drink with whipped egg whites and misted with soy sauce. Delicious. The service was on par and I loved how everything came out as soon as it was ready. I look forward to sitting outside next time! Highly recommend.

The attentive staff was very knowledgeable and helpful to navigate the unique menu. All of their suggestions were amazing. The food was beautiful and tasty. I enjoyed getting small plates of food throughout the night - it felt very indulgent.

The food was the great and our experience at the restaurant was amazing. Our server, Jennifer, was very efficient and knowledgeable and friendly. And food was absolutely delicious — we would definitely come back again.

An amazing experience which places you right into in Japan with the freshest of choices while overlooking the water where you can also park your boat and dine for convenience and aww factor. I advise to sit at the sushi bar to see how the chef and his army food ballerinas put together amazing pieces of edible artwork for you to admire and then indulge in.

Our evening out with friends was a true delight at the newly opened Kasumi. My husband and friends loved their sushi selections and commented on its exceptional quality. The hot items we selected were delicious and flavorful. The restaurant has great energy and we look forward to coming back and eating outside on the patio overlooking the water. Our server Jessie was excellent and had a solid knowledge of the menu. Nice addition to East Boca.

The food was high-quality and really interesting. Loved the crusted pompano and the BBQ pork appetizer. Nice decor and ambiance. Our server needs a lot of basic server training and to learn the food, drinks, etc.

Exceptional food, tasty and creatively presented. Elegant portions. Top notch, personal, knowledgeable service. Overall ambience was warm and uplifting, in a gorgeous setting overlooking the water. Will definitely return for the delicious food and friendly ambience.
