We were seated in the private room. So it was much quieter than the main room. The service was excellent. All of the servers were knowledgeable and professional. The food was excellent. I would recommend the tuna tartar - a similar treatment as the nobu version. The fried rice with the steak was sublime. All the fish was super fresh. For dessert the shaved ice hit the spot.

This restaurant was promoted heavily and we could not wait to go. We found the space to be quite tight especially because 6 of us were in a booth together. Our waiter, Shin, was awesome, but other than that the food was average and over priced. Sushi was comparable to any that we've had in one of those shopping plaza sushi restaurants. Nothing different...nothing exciting.

After eagerly anticipating Kasumi’s opening for over a year, we’re thrilled to say it was well worth the wait. The ambiance is elegant and tasteful, with a minimalist aesthetic that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The teak wood chairs are beautifully crafted, though the backs could be a bit more comfortable. We chose to dine outside on the patio, where the setting near the water was picturesque, and we’re already planning to enjoy their cozy fire pit next time. The attention to detail extends to the table settings, which are as beautiful as the food they complement. Even the wine glasses impressed—a rare but welcome touch. It’s clear the team put a lot of thought into creating a refined, visually appealing experience. We started with a variety of appetizers, expertly recommended by our server, Sebastian, whose knowledge of the menu and attention to detail were exceptional. We tried the Kumamoto oysters, Wagyu Beef Gyoza, BBQ Pork Belly, Toro Tuna Tartare, and two Maki hand rolls—the Shrimp Tempura and the Tres Amigos. Each dish was artfully presented and absolutely delicious. Jennifer, another staff member, also helped us adjust the outdoor lighting to set the perfect mood, though a bit more lighting outside would be a great addition. Kasumi brings a touch of class to Boca, and our dining experience was outstanding. We can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a blend of fine Japanese cuisine, attentive service, and a beautifully curated atmosphere by the water, Kasumi is a must-visit.

Been going to waterstone bar for years and wanted to try the new sushi place that just came. Very disappointed after our dinner last night. Food was extremely bland, had to ask for soy sauce. Waitress wasn’t very attentive and forgot some items. From the unprofessional wait staff to the food I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s a shame that this restaurant is a flop in such a cool location. From all the extremely similar restaurants in south Florida this place definitely needs to make changes if they expect to keep their doors open for an extended period of time.

We want last night, It’s a beautiful restaurant but very disappointing, The wagyu dumpling was delicious the short ribs fried rice was good but the most important things it’s the signature sushi rolls was average nothing special and the sushi rice was horrible test very weird and sticky, Not cooked enough and the rice test weird. Sushi supposed to be melted in your mouth the need to work on the signature rolls and the rice. We will try again if the will have some chance.

I very rarely review our dining experiences but I felt I owed both Kasumi and our server a review. We have been looking for a good sushi restaurant in the Boca area for a long time so I was very excited to try it and the food was amazing. It is by far the best sushi we have had since moving to Florida in 2020. Our server, Sky, was fantastic along with the rest of the staff. Plates were cleared and replaced seamlessly, our food came out at a good pace and she was very pleasant to chat with. We are already planning on going back.

Shrimp Tempura (hand and maki roll), Surf and Turf (hand roll), BEEF SHORT RIB FRIED RICE (Hot Appetizer) and Asian Puffs (Vanilla and Chocolate). We started and ended with these! And What a great hidden addition to Boca! Tucked in to the intercoastal, you can either eat by the exterior serene waters or enjoy the lush, romantic interior decor. Your choice! The service was well personalized by the waitress Jennifer! No pics! You have to go see for yourself!
