The service was good however the place is quite congested. The chips were bland and the portion size was too small. The burger was decent. I feel they should work on the portion size, please. The steak had no sides.

Food was lovely, however received some of the worst service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. After calling to say we’d be 15 minutes late and being told that would be no problem, we arrived and the manager (?) shrugged and told us to go outside and wait 15 minutes despite there being 3 empty tables. When we were finally seated it took 20 minutes to be brought a menu and just as long for our order to be taken. There wasn’t much staff present and whenever we tried to flag someone down (mainly the manager) we were rudely shooed away and told to wait with his finger waved in our faces. This happened multiple times. The food arrived very quickly however they had no half chickens for the platter which was disappointing. Our drinks arrived long after our food after having to ask 3/4 times… tap waters mind you. With all of this being said the food at Karv is incredible, everything on the menu is faultless and if you can stomach the subpar service then it’s definitely worth it. At the end of the meal the manager eventually found some manners and apologised for the poor service (maybe in an effort to keep his service charge), however his attitude cannot be excused by short staffing. Would 100% eat from Karv again, provided I could get a takeaway and never have to sit in their restaurant again.

Hi Many thanks for your review. To get straight to the point, you should have recieved much better service and we can only apologize for that. It must have been one of those days where we could have been missing 1 member from the team which puts more pressure on everyone and the decision making of the key person is off by several notches. Glad you enjoyed the food and please do come again and please make it known to the Manager about your previous experience and am sure he/she will happily look after your table next time. regards Karv

The food was alright, the mocktails were really nice. The staff were quite distracted so you couldn’t easily get their attention even though the restaurant is quite small.
