We purposely booked for an early evening dinner on a Sunday and were looking forward to roast dinner which we were informed was not available on a Sunday. In addition they were out of fish and chips and a chicken curry dish. Unfortunately we felt that the food, in particular main courses and desserts, were overpriced and mediocre in quality. We were also served a G&T with soda water instead of tonic and an OJ & lemonade which had to be stirred with a knife!! We will not be rushing back here in a hurry. Such a shame.

Booked a lunch for two. Food quality was excellent. Service was haphazard. One food order was completely inaccurate and after food delivered all service had to be requested. There were two weddings on which I understand is a lot for a small hotel, but might have been better to decline our lunch booking.

Perfect location for a delicious evening meal. View from conservatory is stunning over the Lake . Food amazing as is the service. One of our favourite places for a quiet, romantic date night ❤️

The food is absolutely out of this world. I had to google a lot of the ingredients but the fusion of flavours is fantastic. Spectacular chefs and spectacular views (on a nice day). Service is also first class. We asked for the fire to be set and this was done to our delight: added to atmosphere.

Had a lovely anniversary dinner, trout was delicious and the chicken burger looked good too. Lovely evening lucky enough to sit right by the water.

Beautiful view of the lake. Good staff. Interior in need of updating and renewing. Food was lovely but I felt it was way too expensive. Bread and butter to start. Pressed Lamb with barley in gravy. Duck breast with potatoes and veg. 1 blackcurrant with water and 1 glass of urn bru. = £73. There was an £8 service charge included.

Quality food and large portions. Would recommend an over night or good for a stop off on a Sunday drive!

We had a table with a lovely view of the Lake. The dining room was not busy at monday lunch time, but there seemed to be only one girl in charge of taking orders, serving them etc so understandably she could be on the slow side. Another front of house staff would have been a good idea. We were a party of three elderly people and focused entirely on the small plates, sharing 8 between the 3 of us. This was more than enough. Most of the dishes were delicious- especially the scallops. One of our number needs Gluten Free, and there was a very good choice of GF dishes on offer.
