We had high hopes! The restaurant is beautiful. We were the second people in the restaurant and chose our table. The hummus was good but different. The veggies and pita were small compared to the portion of hummus. We asked for extra pita - the equivalent of 1 round pita - and were charged $5 without warning. We ordered the duck which was the special. It didn’t look like duck. It was off the bone pieces of meat over a white rice that was supposed to be risotto. It looked like something we would make at home, not from a high end restaurant. We also had the salmon. If I did not know what I was eating I would think it was chicken. It was dry and almost a white color. The bean and beet base it was on was extremely flavorful. The salmon was not. the service and presentation of the food was weak.

Ordered the med salad which was good to start. Then the whole branzino which was also fairly good, not over the top but a solid offering. The entree cauliflower was absolutely awful. It was undercooked, flavorless except for the small amount of humus underneath. I barely touched it, for $36 it was a total rip off and also not even remotely celebrating the vegetable or even edible. The waitress didn’t mention it when she took my full plate. Would not recommend.

Our group had a great night at Kaneo. The only negative about our experience is that it took a bit long to get our food. Overall, the food was wonderful and our server was great. It was a plus that they had a good simple kid’s menu.

I don’t understand why this restaurant labels itself as Mediterranean because of the 30 or so menu items only two appetizers (hummus and meze platter) are even remotely connected to Mediterranean cuisine. It’s really American cuisine with a hummus appetizer. This influenced our experience because we were expecting something completely different. Once you understand what this place is, the food is good, albeit overpriced (being on Main St and all that?).

Unfortunately this was the worst experiences we have had in Park City in a long time. We visited the restaurant last year and it was excellent. The service, quality, pacing, noise level, and food have all gone downhill since that time.

Great atmosphere and venue. Enjoyed my portobello steak. Service was iffy...out of a beer after I ordered it; sides for the main course came well before the appetizers (which came quite late). Pretty pricey for what it is...

Meal was excellent. Bruno our server was terrific! He was well informed on the menu, made great recommendations and very pleasant. We’ll be back.

We have always wanted to try dining at Kaneo, and it was one of the best dining experiences on Main Street. Santiago was an amazing server, the food and ambiance was outstanding. Highly recommend and we will be back soon!
