KAMA is a collaboration between Vikram Singh and his Hall of Fame chef father, Manmohan Singh, to bring traditional Indian recipes and techniques to diners. Everything in the kitchen is made fresh from scratch and customized to your taste. Kama's menu combines authentic recipes with cuisines from other cultures to create a unique and progressive dining experience. The fusion favorites include dishes such as Tandoori Chilean seabass, BBQ Ribs Namaste, and Charcoal Grilled Prime Ribeye, all cooked using traditional techniques such as the charcoal tandoor grill and sous vide.

I had the Goan fish curry with halibut. There is another fish as an option but I prefer halibut. My date had the vindaloo with lamb. We also had the lemon chicken tadka and chips appetizer. And we had garlic naan and roti bread. I had a cocktail (berry flavor and mezcal) and the Celsius 13 white white. The cocktail was ok, I liked the wine. All of the food was amazing. The spicing was so perfect. One thing I don’t like other typical Indian restaurants is the food is over salted and there is too much heavy cream. There are so many flavors that come through in the curry - but none that were overpowering. Roti (which I prefer) was better than my mom’s - light, dry, and not heavy. Lastly, the service was exceptional. I will definitely go back.

The food was excellent, with super quick service. Unique options like the paneer ravioli coupled with more traditional Indian dishes made it a fun experience

Food was great, ambience was great! However, initially we felt extremely rushed by the server who stopped by frequently pushing us along. But once we asked her politely to give us a little bit of time, she took the feedback and everything went smoothly afterwards. I was not sure what the rush was knowing that we are capped at 1.5 hrs anyway and we were still done in about an hour and few minutes.

I was blown away by the flavors! Everything we ordered was awesome. The drinks were so refreshing and flavorful. The lamb roganjosh was delicious. The saag paneer and dal makhni were excellent. Portions are generous and we were served a large bowl of rice on the house. The bread pudding was spiced with chai flavor and was truly unique. We had great service with Keenan. Will definitely be coming back to try all the other dishes on the menu!

I have been to Kama in La Grange and will definitely go back. The Kama in Wicker Park has a good vibe, good food. Our waitress was mediocre at best. Not enaging at all. Forgot about our Naan order, did not ask us to see a dessert menu, just brought our check. Music was too loud. IOn a whole pales next to the Kama in LaGrange. Our reservations were at 4:45. Our server did not ask if we wanted a cocktail before five. Was that a ploy not to enjoy a half priced cocktail during Happy Hour? It was my understanding that Happy Hour ends at five, not 4:45. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought we should have been offered a Happy Hour Menu at least until 5?

The food was all amazing! Service was pretty good but there was a lag in the middle where we wanted to order dessert that we waited quite while. The bussing staff was very attentive though! Great vibes inside but I will say it’s very loud.
