We went to Kilawa for my birthday with our family. We had high expectations but were sorely disappointed. The lumpia and goyza were soggy. The shrimp and crab curry was very expensive and had only two shrimp! The wait time between the starters and the main dishes was unreasonably long. One of our drink orders was forgotten. The rattan chairs were falling apart. Needless to say, for a restaurant recognized by Michellin in the past, our experience was not worth the money we spent.

Food was good but took a very long time to come out. We waited for about 30 mins for appetizers and then almost 40 minutes after that for mains. The waiter gave us a round of drinks on the house due to the delay with the food

Dining was ok; seated quick with a reservation got orders in quick and food came out quick. Didn’t course anything like we asked, cocktail off the menu was good but the cosmo wasn’t. Food was bland. Service was mid, a lot of people looking around for their server. Trying to celebrate a birthday and put it on the reservation but had no way to do it.

The location is what is keeping this place in business. The food is mediocre at best. Many of the noodle dishes have the same sauce and are barely discerned from each other by noodle size and main ingredient. The same can be said about the the vegetable forward dishes. Also, dishes aren't true to their roots -- for example, the pad see eww uses very narrow noodles and lacks sweet soy sauce. The service is fine, but not outstanding. Also beware of added fees on the bill.

Service was very slow for no reason. The restaurant was not busy but our server was not attentive. We enjoyed all the food and the drinks. It took over 1.5 hours for 2 people.

Definitely would not recommend. Great location on the wharf and beautiful inside but unfortunately, those are the main positives. The portions were small (for appetizers and salad especially) and definitely not worth the price in taste or size. The waiter was not very attentive although nice during our interactions. The restaurant also adds an extra 8% (!!) to all receipts, which gets added before gratuity so you end up paying about 30% more (if you leave a 20% tip) than the listed menu prices.

Waiter forgot to ask for our drinks order and never returned til I asked Her. Three of the five meals came out while the rest took 30mns. Half the group was done long before the rest of the food came out. The portions were good alright but too pricey for what was served.

This place sucked. As we walked in, people were leaving because they waited a long time without service. I reserved an outdoor table but when I got there, there were no outdoor tables available…fine. We sat inside. We had a server that wanted to immediately take our order; two menus, four people and no cocktail menu. We ordered two sodas and two drinks and waited over 30 minutes for drinks. The glasses for soda tasted like soap. Our cocktails tasted the same…as if the shaker was not cleaned in between. Food was small portions and the server definitely forgot to put our order in. One manager came over and made a joke that our food wasn’t there but after an hour, we were over it. The only thing the server did quick was give us our bill and bring us the check to sign. $300 later…..if I pay $300 for two adults and two kids, I would rather be at nice steakhouse with a bottle of wine..not a loud restaurant with crappy service. The food was actually not bad. It’s too bad the manager, sloppy service and cocktails will have this place closed by January.

There were a lot of issues with the seating that I reserved and the hostess was very unhelpful. The manager on the other hand was very accommodating and helpful, which was very much appreciated. The only other issue was that they ran out of food during my 8 PM reservation for a couple of items that I ordered, which was annoying because they did not tell the waitstaff (so she let us order it and then came back a half hour later apologizing and we had to make new selections and wait again).
