Kalapawai Cafe & Deli offers residents and visitors to Kapolei a friendly place grab anything from a morning cup of coffee, a delicious deli sandwich or pizza to an award winning full service dinner that includes burgers, locally caught seafood and the freshest salads. We had dinner at Kalapawai on a Tuesday night. We requested a table on the patio that we got. We had the Ahi Nachos as an appetizer (big portion) and the auction fish as our main dishes. The food was very good. The hazy IPA was also very good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had a lovely dinner and will return for sure.

We were thrilled to learn about this new restaurant in Kapolei and visited twice during the 2 weeks we were staying in Ko'Olina. There were some highs and lows in terms of food quality. The French onion soup was simply the best my husband and I have had .. and we order it a lot. I had the Peruvian chicken which was excellent. My husband had the lamb bolognese which he said was good but that he had had better. The crab and artichoke dip was good, but, likewise, not outstanding. What was puzzling given some of the complicated items on the menu was the terrible Margherita pizza, and that is so simple that it is hard to mess it up. The crust was like cardboard and there were no fresh tomatoes, just unpleasant tomato sauce smeared on. Avoid it at all costs. There seemed to be plenty of friendly servers, but both times we had to flag down someone to get drink refills or the check, etc., or even our food. The first time we chose to eat outside on the patio but the road noise was not ideal. We will give it another try when we return to the area but will definitely not order pizza!

This is our go to place for a nice casual dinner that always tastes great. The menu rotates just enough to enjoy favorite dishes and try new things in between. We come about once a month and we've never had a bad meal here!

Kalapawai Cafe is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food is always excellent, the service great and the atmosphere really nice. We go there regularly and are never disappointed. Good value for an all around great experience!

Really a wonderful dinner. Drinks were incredible. I had a NY sour and a “two tickets”, and both were great, ESPECIALLY the “two tickets”. We had the crab dip for an appetizer and it was very good. I had the shepherds pie which was magnificent! And for dessert, I had the cookie served ala mode. Our waitress, Brittany (hope i spelled it correctly) was fantastic! Very friendly and super knowledgeable on the menu. We followed her recommendations and she was right! The kitchen was maybe a little slow, but frankly, I didn’t care because it gave me more time with my wife and daughter. They comped us dessert because of it, which was cool, because I really didn’t expect them to nor did I care about the speed of the kitchen. I love this place. Will be added to the date night rotation for sure!!

ALWAYS a great experience. The ambiance, considering the location is just so relaxing. The service, the staff, always a pleasant experience. The food and adult beverages, on point. We appreciate how they mix up the menu from time to time as well. It's been a go to place for my wife and I for a few years now. We very much enjoy the relaxing, tasty experience. Can be a little pricey but we'll worth it. Love this place!!!
