As the sister restaurant to London icon Kai of Mayfair, Kai’s Songbird’s signature ‘liberated Nanyang cooking’ style has a global reputation, combining authenticity with culinary daring to create fusion experiences that define modern Chinese cuisine.

Kai’s Songbird sings from a new bough for the first time in Doha in a stunning glass-fronted restaurant whose aesthetics evoke the natural beauty of a conservatory. Here, light lunches and relaxed dinners of flavours — at once familiar and intriguing — are enjoyed, against the soft patter of conversation and the scent of herbs, creating a balance of sensory joy and moments to savour.

Had a lovely brunch at Kai’s song bird today. Exquisite décor and beautiful ambience. We had gone for a ladies brunch after seeing so many recommendations for this place. Happy to say we left more than satisfied, there was a small glitch/misunderstanding with a waiter whilst we we there over a small issue. Jacob, the manager was notified, he apologised for the waiters mistake and thereafter went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and one of a kind (so far in Doha). Would highly recommend this place, not just for the food but excellent customer care and hospitality.

Nice atmosphere, great outdoor terrace with view on the boats. Live dj. And original food. Tasting menu was excellent and variated.

The food was good as per usual only issue this time was the AC outside was very hot. Also, it was very noisy because they had the music playing very loud on this specific day.

The setting was phenomenal. The ‘endless package’ is absolutely worth it for a special occasion. Excellent food, excellent service, very hospitable.

Had a fabulous Sat brunch at Kai Songbird. Food was exquisite, drinks were lovely, service was excellent. It was a great experience.

Celebrated a lovely birthday for my wife. Service and ambience was lovely and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Service staff needs more hospitality training due to the following experience: Lack of attentiveness: inconsistent replenishment of water and beverages. The staff did not ask if we needed something despite making eye contact with them. They just looked away. No warmth and smile: Their facial expressions lack the smile and warm tone of voice that will make you feel welcome. The staff members look unhappy and stressed while talking to each other. The most acceptable behavior is that of the server from India, who showed politeness and humility. Slow service: we needed to wait for our dishes to be served. Unfair treatment: The table beside us received more beverage refills as two gentlemen, one wearing a suit and a regular server, constantly replenished their beverages. Even the chef visited their table, which did not happen to other tables, making us feel less important.

This restaurant offers food that not only looks beautiful but tastes amazing. I love the Southeast Asian flavours (esp the dessert with coconut ice cream). The customer service is top-notch. I've been to many restaurants in Qatar but this one stands out as one of the best. My only suggestion would be to improve the flavours for the mocktails. I enjoyed the Hisbiscus but did not enjoy the 3 other options. I suggest adding drinks like passionfruit mojitos/fruit juices. Overall, my friends and I had a fantastic experience with the weekend brunch. We appreciate the amazing customer service! Definitely returning for more.
