Contemporary Indian restaurant by Michelin Star Chef Peter Joseph, located opposite the iconic Cadogan Hall in Chelsea.The 90-cover restaurant is inspired by Peter’s upbringing in Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state of India. Kahani, which translates to ‘story’ in Hindi, will be centred around Peter’s philosophy of community eating to celebrate, bring people together, break boundaries and share tales.This contemporary approach to Indian cooking will showcase seasonal and sustainable British ingredients, focusing on grilled meats, fish and vegetables from the robata grill - a core dining philosophy of the restaurant.

We love Kahani. The food is delicious - a particular treat are their biryanis. The atmosphere is great - this was the first time we had been on a Saturday night and it was full and buzzy, but not too loud. The service is fantastic and staff are very helpful at choosing dishes and wine. In the past we've had the tasting menu which is well worth it.

We attended the Jazz night and opted for the 4 course and a samosa platter. Food was delicious, service was amazing and jazz bank/ambience was great. I felt the 4 course was a great menu - all courses were amazing.

Took my parents for their anniversary. They were in shock with the quality level of the food. They couldn’t say enough after. Food was fantastic . Highly recommend this place

I went to Kahani for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved it. The food was truly delicious and the quantities were great, the service was excellent and the Staff lovely and very attentive. The dining room felt rather homey and yet quite elegant, making the atmosphere perfectly enjoyable. I have already rebooked it for a business meal and will be going back in a couple of weeks' time.
