I was a table of 6 , the entrees were good, mains we ordered large of all meat dishes , lamb, beef cheeks, chicken and pork, greens, salad and chips the servings were so small we left hungry, we ordered wine and when we wanted another bottle after a long time the waiter came back to tell us we had the last bottle so we ordered another and again after a longer time she came back saying they didn’t have any of that wine, by this stage we left and went next door to the wine shop and ordered a bottle of wine, I went home and had something to eat! Music was sooo loud you couldn’t hear the conversation at the other end of the table which made it uncomfortable seen as we hadn’t seen each other for a while! I won’t go back or recommend, I’m a customer of Salona and went to your pop up in Bourke st ! Soo disappointing! I was embarrassed!😡

Even though we had a booking we were seated in a small back room near the toilets, which was completely disconnected from the rest of the restaurant and lacked ambiance. We ordered a glass of red wine and they must have emptied the last of the bottle as the glass was full of sediment. The food was okay, but the overall experience was a disappointment. We expected a lot more from a place like this.

The food was good, but came out cold. Service was slow, given we had to ask for another drink and water.

This was our first visit to Kafeneion and we loved the food and our bottle of lovely Greek wine! Our friendly staff helped us with selections if we were unfamiliar and the evening was delightful. Only complaint was the venue noise level - challenging!

The entrees were really nice. More variety on mains is needed. The cinnamon on the chicken risoni dish was overpowering.

We notified our waitress we came for a pre theatre dinner Ordered and received completely bland martini’s Our waitress never returned so we ordered from a waiter and were served the wrong pork sausage dish, which we ate thinking it didn’t sound as described. After finishing eating it anther waiter brought the correct dish together with our fish order, so we reluctantly refused the second pork dish as we would’ve been overeating and have o idea how they could have the two written down as ordered both - we were 2 diners We spotted the original waitress and asked for our bill which was dropped off at our table 5 frustrating minutes later as she rushed off without giving an opportunity to pay

**A Taste of Greece Before the Show** Kafeneion at the Melbourne Supper Club delivered a fantastic pre-show dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal before catching a performance. The menu offered a delicious selection of authentic Greek dishes, from savory mezze platters to hearty mains. We opted for the kingfish, the special sausage, Greek salad, sweetbreads and the baklava all of which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were vibrant and fresh, and the portions were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The relaxed ambiance and delicious food made Kafeneion the perfect choice for a pre-show meal. Highly recommended!
