Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more. The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available.

Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables.

We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees. More information is available at kachkapdx.com/wage-equity

Lorsqu'il a ouvert ses portes en 2014, ce restaurant novateur a initié la renaissance gastronomique de l'Europe de l'Est dans le pays, s'attirant les louanges de Bon Appétit, Eater, GQ et bien d'autres encore. Dix ans plus tard, cet hommage aux origines de Bonnie et Israel Morales est toujours très prisé pour sa célèbre vodka infusée au raifort, ses zakuski (en-cas) comme le caviar et les œufs de poisson, et son lapin dans son pot en terre cuite. Décoré d'affiches colorées et de nappes provenant de Biélorussie, ce lieu accueillant à deux niveaux est un endroit où l'on a envie de revenir encore et encore.

Did not appreciate being greeted by a person wearing a mask in 2024. Seems that because the wait staff does not have to work for their tips they don’t put in any extra to make your visit special. They didn’t even offer to refill our drinks. The food is pretty bland but I guess that is what Eastern European food tastes like. We didn’t hate it but we’re not blown away. For the price I expected better. The rye and cheese was really good though. We had the sturgeon and rabbit. Sorry to say we will not be returning.

Could not recommend more! Delicious, great service, beautiful restaurant and it felt so wonderful to watch the pouring rain come in with the windows open and a nice fall breeze coming through to accompany our horseradish shots. Brought our 6 month old and she was passed around the restaurant! An experience we’ll never forget!

We ate dinner at the bar and the service was impeccable. We were highly impressed with her (Sierra) knowledge of both the cuisine and the liquor. Can't wait to go back.

What a delight! Our friends, visiting from their home in Santa Fe, a food Mecca, said “this is the best food we’ve had in 2 years.” Interesting and unique menu, great suggestions from staff, terrific pairings, and relaxed but elegant vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Our favorite Russian restaurant never disappoints. Excellent food (that my Babushka would have approved of), great service, delicious vodka infusions (try the dill flower!). We sat in the Gallery Room this time, but all the sections are charming.
