Chef was the best we’ve ever had! He absolutely was fantastic!! The rest of staff was fine but no one was checking in frequently and no one was smiling besides the chef. They all seemed to just be going through the motions for a pay check. The hood/ventilation seems as if it needs cleaning or balancing as it was the first time we’ve really smelled coming out of the restaurant and it was a little smoky even in the bar area. The bar area and some of the glasses did not smell great as well. Please don’t take the constructive criticism as it was a poor experience as it was a very good experience and we will be back again! Food is fantastic!

Service is excellent! She went above and beyond for our group! the noise level was so high we could not even hear the waitress or the chef! Some serious acoustic review is needed

Do not order any cocktails or come in with any expectation of service! Tons of staff socializing with each other. Drinks were not made properly. I was given a one shot martini- they are made with 2. When we ask for them to be remade- they charged us again🤣 Portions of proteins was above average which is a positive. Fried rice is too salty and lo mein has no flavor- typical of hibachi. The chef entertainment was - blah. This was our second time dining at this restaurant. We had similar experiences both occasions. I was hoping the first time was just a bad night. But it has proven that a poor bar and poor service is typical of this restaurant.

Rigid hostesses who rush us to close the tab at the bar snd be sat. Overall just feeling very rushed. Not an experience that I want to have at a dinner on a weekend.

We had a great time this evening. Our cook Jay was excellent and entertaining. For hibachi food, I thought the meat and shrimp were well cooked and not overdone. The servings were generous. We would definitely go back again.

Both my scallops and filet mignon were overcooked. I ordered filet medium-rare and every piece was brown throughout. Scallops were too firm and wrong color in the middle. Filet mignon was juicy and tender still so we would return. Scallops were a bit disappointing. Fried rice is the best around and the soup and salad (especially the Asian salad dressing) were both great, better than Sakura. Overall I would rate Kabuto higher than Sakura for quality and prep, and I don't know if it's consistent since this was our first visit, but the chef was "more fun" and skilled with knife juggling than at Sakura. It won't be our last visit. Great to have a good hibachi place closer to home than Germantown (Sakura).

AC was broken and no one told us when we walked in. Was so hot. Chef told us nothing was working including the fridge etc. food was good, but it was uncomfortably hot that it wasn’t enjoyable. Had I been told I would have rescheduled to another date.

We go to this restaurant a few times a year with various groups of friends. The food is always good and the show by the chef (in the hibachi side of the restaurant) is fun. We have a good time although the hibachi side can get quite noisy when there are multiple groups of people enjoying themselves.
