The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The Crab cakes are especially delicious. The grand piano and standing string bass players on Friday and Saturday evenings make for a romantic atmosphere.

    Came here with my husband to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary! Everything was absolutely divine. We felt special since the menu had a personalized message on it for us as well as our desserts. We would absolutely come here again and recommend it.

    Josephine's is a great place for a special occasion. It's a bit pricey, but no unreasonably so, the atmosphere definitely lends itself to special occasions. Highly recommend!

    We were celebrating two birthdays and the personalized birthday wishes in our menus was a nice touch. As always the food and service were impeccable.

    This was our first time there. We went for our anniversary and the whole experience was fantastic. From the customised menu inserts, the great service, and the outstanding food. Everything was perfect for our special day and we will certainly go back.

    It was my first time back to Josephine’s since they moved downtown from Marietta. We came for my husband’s birthday. Everything was wonderful from the personalized menu to the excellent courses. Beautiful presentation. Generous portions. Perfect balance of flavors and great service. We’re so lucky to have a first class restaurant so close to home. It was very nice to be able to talk in our normal voices and hear each other! We will be back! Thank you!

    Josephine’s is a wonderful dining experience, from the 50s-Hollywood décor to the top-notch service and incredible food. For a special occasion, it’s hard to recommend a better restaurant in Lancaster County.
