Josephine is hosting our first Thanksgiving Dinner from 11AM to 6PM. We will be offering a Special Thanksgiving Feast at $65 per person in addition to our Dinner Menu all day. The Special will include Turkey breast with gravy, cranberry sauce, pomme puree, brioche stuffing, haricot vert, glazed carrots and pie for dessert. This will be ordered individually and served family style.

Our visit was for Veteran's Day lunch; restaurant was bustling. Second visit for two of us. We chose Josephine primarily because of location and a new experience for two of our party. Our table ordered 2 x Croque Madame, an Omelette Classique, and Eggs Benedict. The Croque is substantial and taste was considered OK. The Omelette was not fluffy and was a bit disappointing. The Eggs Benedict were very disappointing and definitely not worth the price, particularly when compared with other local eateries. We also ordered a side of fries (fine) and hash browns (very disappointing, think little stones). This was a busy lunch setting; food a little slow coming out of the kitchen. Noise level was on the high side; it would have been a good day to be in the nice garden but it was full. Service was responsive, not overly attentive, I would say service was very good.

This has been our go-to special occasion place, but it was a little disappointing this time. We had two apps that were not very good. Waitress was not very good. Toast with salmon rillette was dry and hard. Beet salad that we usually enjoy is now a chopped salad with tons of endive. Seems like they are trying to save money by giving you less beets and more endive, and if they chop it up, maybe no one will notice. Prices also went up quite a bit. Our dinners were very good—beef bourgignon and mushroom/truffle pasta. Overall might not go back for a while.

We always enjoy dining at Josephine but IF you are salt sensitive regarding your diet or your tastebuds, ask that no extra salt to be added to your order. Because, otherwise, the kitchen is too heavy-handed with the salt seasoning in my opinion.

I’ve been here a few times and the food is always great. The service started out a little rocky, but those issues now seem to have been resolved. Had very good service this visit. Great ambiance and a lively crowd. All around enjoyable dining experience and now among the best in Old Town

Our experience was wonderful! Michael our server made our night one to remember. We were celebrating an anniversary and he brought us completely champagne and dessert. We both got the steak frites and it was delicious. The crème brûlée was a standout. The ambience was very romantic, and made for a great feel. Highly recommend.
