Great service, tasty food. We ate here twice - once on our way south to Florida, and again on our drive back north. They have a nice menu of French dishes, and very good wines by the glass. Our waiter, Jay, was really good.

I’ve eaten here numerous times. I love the ambience and interior. In the spring the patio is lovely. The only downside is that the service is spotty. They always make it right after the fact but I’ve had the order go wrong pretty much every time I’ve been here. I give it 5 stars because they try very hard to fix anything that isn’t okay and the overall vibe here is solid.

Lovely ambiance and location. Service was good but not coordinated. They took away the bread and brought us dessert menus before our mains had been served. Food was way too salty and overpowering raw garlic…which is not a French culinary characteristic. Fish and green beans were overcooked and swimming in butter; again, not how these dishes are served in France. Less is more would help here. All of the elements for a truly outstanding restaurant are present, they just need to return the menu to a proper French palette. The venue and bar are so amazing. Great bartenders too while you wait for your table.

My overall experience was great. My only disappointment was how the rack of lamb I ordered was cooked. If I knew the default was medium to medium rare I would have let my waitress know I wanted it cooked medium to medium well. It was very good but a little on the rare side for me.

I’ve been four times now and Josephine never disappoints. The strip au poivre never is my go-to! The service is top notch and the environment is warm and cozy. My fave place in Old Town.

The place is beautiful and food is good. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. A pleasure! However the petite lady located at front that took us to the table had an attitude that was really uncomfortable. We ll return just hoping this lady is no longer helping us.

We recently enjoyed another great evening at Josephine and on this occasion it was our anniversary! The hostess was welcoming and knew immediately the table that we had requested. Our server, Hannah was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed the Lobster Risotto which was outstanding, salad, cheese course along with two delightful wines. The Macarons at the end of the meal to celebrate our anniversary was a nice touch and much appreciated....delicious too! If I have anything negative to relay it would be that the food runner had on so much perfume that it took a bit of time for it to dissipate so we could enjoy the smell of the freshly served food.

We were there to celebrate the retirement of two of my wonderful former colleagues, who long ago became cherished friends. We couldn’t have had a better time! Service, table, food, and drink were the best. Lunch couldn’t have been more enjoyable!
