I went for the Wed. Special & Happy Hour. Service was mediocre. But granted the place is small so there was not too much effort needed to grab the attention of our server. Drinks were okay. I just had a simple margarita. Food was excellent. I order the Fried Chicken Entree w/ Mac & Cheese & Greens for my sides. I also added a piece of cornbread. Food if definitely cooked to order, everything came out hot and stayed warm until I was done eating. Well portioned I had some leftovers to take home with me. When the leftovers are good you know the food was good. Going again this Thursday.

To have experience horrible food Service is not at all what I wanted to experience. I order the Jordyn surf and turf and this worst choice. First off the lobster was a mini lobster that was a one bite and I asked what kind of steak it would be and it was ribeye. I requested the temperature to be medium and guess what it was well done. I let the waiter know and he was happy to go change and when it was brought back to me it was rare. It still was mooing like a cow. The sides were cold when they came out which I got the Mac and string beans which needs some work on and was bland. The margarita flight all were watered down and was not good at all. More organization needs to be implemented being that people were waiting 20 minutes or so just to be seated and they had reservations. Very disappointed and will not return.

Well, the valet attendant was awesome. Once we walked in we almost tripped and fell because there was a high step in the door wary and no signage that indicated we should “step up”. Once inside, we stood aimlessly until someone decided to greet us and ask if we had reservations. This establishment would benefit from having a hostess station right inside the door. We were told to sit where we wanted and ordered our food soon after. The “soul aid” was delicious!! And my husband enjoyed his catfish. But… the soul rolls were mostly sweet potatoes and super soggy and messy and overfilled; the cabbage was mushy and overcooked, the deviled eggs were sweet for some reason and the fried green tomatoes were overcooked and burnt. The cornbread was ok, but not warm at all. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled strongly of marijuana. I really had high hopes for this place. Hoping they get it together, it has great potential.

Experience was nice food good but I didn’t get to try the dish I actually wanted so I will have to return for a better review.

If I was Keith Lee I’ll give this place an overall 4/10 the ambience is what I’m sure people come for. Very relaxed nice music and decor. However reservations are required/recommended and still have to wait 10-15 min.. food was cold oxtails are too expensive to be wasting money on with no taste.. macaroni was soup! The greens were actually the best part of the food..never received my candid yams after notifying waiter twice but it still showed up on my bill. Portions for the sides are very small, it’s like they give you a big serving spoon scoop. Again very beautiful place but I won’t waste my money again.

The experience was worth the wait!!!!! From the Service, food, music and the tasty Lemon drops. I definitely recommend this restaurant and give it 10/10
