We're Jordyn's Soul Cafe, and we're an upscale soul food restaurant serving Chicago, IL, since 2022. There's no need to search for that perfect blend of soul food and fine dining because it's right here! We specialize in premium comfort food with a menu that includes everything from soul food classics to modern twists on those classics. Our owner created this restaurant to honor her late daughter and to serve Chicagoland areas delectable dishes inspired by her mother. Food was great, vibe and music was great. It was a little crowded so service was kind of slow server kept checking on us to make sure we were good!

Booked around 10 o’clock for an 11 o’clock reservation it was last minute but stated on the website and google they close at 12 o’clock on Saturdays…When we got there it was a group of people walking out and a couple of people still in the inside…went to the desk waited for someone just for a young man to say they were close …he stated that they stop seating around 1030pm and kitchen closes at 11pm …I told him that I made a reservation and he looking like well okay we still closed did not even check the computer or anything for my reservation….This was not a good experience for me and I didn’t even get to try the food …I do not think that I will go back based off that experience…if you all close at 11 instead of 12 …the website and google should be updated!

When my daughter arrived at the time of our reservation, we were seated immediately. The waiter immediately came to our table. He made us feel at home. He quickly came back to our table to get our order. Our order was brought to the table in a decent amount of time. Our food was hot and the lamb chops was flavorful and tender. I will recommend this black owned restaurant even though it is in Hyde Park and the parking was a little difficult to find. I believe that it's worth the parking hassle.

The food was spectacular! 10/10. The air was broken, so it was very humid. I’m sure it’s not usually like that but it was just too humid inside. Overall amazing.

Has a 5:45 reservation we arrived early 5:30 and was informed that the air conditioner was not working however we decided to stay anyway, we were seated at a nice comfortable booth. We sat at the table until 6:00 and was not offered a single menu, glass of water, no silverware no nothing. There were two waiters on our side of the restaurant, neither one acknowledged us We decided to leave. I left feeling very disappointed and I will never patronize this place again

The good food and good device was overhung the AC being out. I would’ve preferred they not serve because it was was uncomfortable it made us feel ill. The servers were so nice and I felt bad for them because they had to be melting. And I’m usually cold so everyone else had to keep stepping outside.

Hyde Park has so many choices when it comes to food. I have been to the location on Grand. The meal was just as good in Hyde Park. Service could be better.

The food was delicious our waiter was excellent Jay was so helpful. It was our first time there. It was my family and we was celebrating my son birthday. We will definitely be back. We all ordered different food oxtails, catfish, short ribs, tacos w/ fries, jerk wings smothered chicken. I give this experience a 5 star

My cousin and I had brunch Saturday we really enjoyed every thing ! The service was great , beef ribs were very tender ! My cousin ordered smoothed Turkey wings that were falling off the bone good ! It was a byob service which we liked that option a lot . We will definitely return .
