Bienvenue au Jolly Fisherman à Craster. Avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer, une cuisine faite maison et des ales soigneusement conservées, voilà un pub traditionnel récemment rénové au caractére bien affirmé. Le charme de ce pub historique a été préservé avec soin : les sols en pierre, les plafonds bas aux poutres apparentes et les sièges confortables en témoignent. Durant les mois d'hiver, vous pourrez vous détendre près du feu. En été, profitez de la vue offerte par l'un des « beer gardens » les plus spectaculaires de Northumberland.

The restaurant was really busy when we arrived, luckily we had pre booked. We were quickly shown to our table with a wonderful view out over the sea. We shared the jolly fish platter, very fresh and delicious with special mentions for the kipper pate, mussels and rolled herring. The only slight disappointment was the crab, it wasn’t awful but I’ve had much better locally. Everything else was outstanding. Our waitress Jess was friendly, helpful and attentive. We would definitely recommend the Jolly Fisherman and look forward to a return visit soon.

Firstly it was difficult for my husband to get his small mobility scooter over the step and then dog bowls were moved so he could leave it at the door. I had fish Ames which were okay but the chips were terrible…but their price was deducted from the bill. Overall it was okay

Have tried to book previously and not been able to get a table - it’s busy so book well in advance. It’s an exceptionally busy restaurant and staff did their best but forgot things. Restaurant doesn’t cater well for vegetarian/vegan/gluten free - menu says ask staff but there’s virtually no alternatives/options - not great if you have a party who don’t all eat seafood. Ambience wasn’t great as lots of people crammed in the bar area. For those who ate seafood the food was great.

We booked a table with two people and a dog and when we got there the only table available was a tiny one by the door which was totally inappropriate as there was nowhere for the dog to even lie and when we mentioned this the staff were not really bothered so, we went elsewhere. Very disappointed.

We have been coming to this pub for years , it is a must do every time we visit the North East , about 3 times a year . Food and service excellent and we always enjoy the lovely view while we are eating. Good value for money , would recommend.

Calm atmosphere, lovely views over the harbour and the sea, attentive staff, truly excellent food with a good choice of everything. Elegant dining area. We have been coming to the Jolly Fisherman for years both on our own and with our family and enjoy every visit. It's a real treat to eat here and yesterday evening was for a special wedding anniversary. The sight of dolphins and possibly a minke whale added to the occasion. We also like to sit outside on the terrace with a coffee or crab sandwich if we are passing on a walk or bike ride. A really special place ❤️

As always very nice. Good service. Lovely food and a fantastic view. I do feel though that the menu is not as varied as years past. No steaks for example. Out table was at 6.45pm and lots of things had run out which didn’t help That said it’s always worth a visit.
