Service was okay, Swordfish was cooked to Very dry, was not edible, Rueben Sandwich was too much fat and stringy.

Nice atmosphere and good food. Our waitress, however, was not personable at all. Which , since we’ve been dining here, is a first. Otherwise it was a good experience overall.

Advertisement said "Early Bird" was available on the Terrace, but we were told we could only sit inside....

I have to qualify this review based on the fact that we were seated outside on a stunning summer evening. That being said, the food and service, while not quite as phenomenal as the setting, were still very good. It was obvious that a substantial amount of attention was paid to the quality and appearance of the food. We will happily return if we are ever in Newport again.

We had requested a quiet table and were the only ones seated in their terrace area, which was the one positive. Other than that…an hour+ wait for so-so food is totally unacceptable. Our server, though very sweet, had to be reminded to bring the bread she’d promised (after a good 20 minutes of waiting for it with hungry children), and either she or the kitchen missed the salmon that was supposed to come with one of the salads, so an even longer wait for that member of our party.

We got the lobster and it was not as good as the lobster in Maine. Very tough and we were disappointed. Our waiter was very good though.

Always a nice place to sit outside but protected. Good solid food and good service. Nice getaway from downtown.
