They are very new so they were still having some growing pains, the food took a while to come out and such but it was great and enjoyed the atmosphere, a little loud with folks trying to talk over the live music but enjoyed it nonetheless. Felt like they should hold a once a week speakeasy type night! We will go back.

A very nice restaurant! Live piano music near the bar area. Terrific craft cocktail menu. A thoroughly interesting food menu with so many offerings that a second and third trip (maybe more) will be necessary soon! Two minor nits: a food delivery person did not bring a spoon with my soup, and the oysters arrived with two cocktail forks but no spoons with which to apply the sauces (this second one seems to be a common issue regardless of where one orders oysters). Other than that, everything was terrific!

We went on a recent Saturday night. When we got there at 6:30 there were 3 tables taken so instead of sitting down we decided to have a drink at the bar. Unfortunately my Manhattan was not very good but my wife enjoyed her wine. After a while the atmosphere did not improve so we decided to dine elsewhere. So my review was a 1 star for food because you have to rate it to do a review. We did not try the food, the lack of atmosphere turned us off.

Too early to tell with Johnny D's. Food and service were ok, but they've also only been open two-weeks. I think it will continue to improve. My recommendation to the Johnny D folks is to focus on the details. This could be a really great spot, but there were just some details that seemed.....a bit off. I'll definitely return to try this place again hopefully after they get their legs under them a bit more.

The food was very flavorful and delicious! Being such a new restaurant I am sure that everything will be worked out to elevate my review in the future! Being very familiar with the downtown Buffalo restaurants I know that this can be something special in a very short time. I definitely will be back.

Had a wonderful meal (and cocktails) and loved that they had a live piano player too. Great ambience and service!

First, our server Kara was outstanding, she provided us great suggestions. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I was in Buffalo for a meeting and would definitely return if back in the city.

The food was not up to standard. Tuna was so over cooked it looked like well done steak. Brie was old and pungent. The best thing was the deviled eggs.

The restaurant is part of the Hyatt hotel Food was actually very good ,had the sirlion and my lady had the pasta Friendly staff and the owner was pleasant

Newly opened, food was great, ambience was nice, live piano, owner was visible and available for any concerns, very nice, shows interest, very personable. I will be returning
