JOEY Uptown, boasts an open concept dining room that spans over 10,288 square feet, including a temperature controlled patio equipped with an outdoor bar. Stylized prints from Texas-based artist Jon Flaming, and animated LED portraits by Julian Opie, bring life and lightness to the entire space. During prior visits I’ve had a good experience which led me to bring my family, however this time it was not great. We were seated at an extremely small table originally, then one of our meals was not given at the expected temperature. After finding the server and manager, unfortunately his response was impolite and rude. We expressed what was wrong and his response was “so what are you asking for” in a very bothered tone. After 30 minutes, the plate never returned and we had to find our server again and ask where the food was…the immediately the plate came out, once again cooked at the wrong temperature. When speaking to the manager again he said we were wrong then said we were wrong to request for the steak to be remade. I find this to be very disappointing because if something is noticeably wrong, I don’t expect the manager to explain why I am wrong rather than correcting the issue. As stated previously, we’ve had great experiences before but this manager was disappointing and make out experience very unwelcomed. Note: our server was very accommodating and this is no slight towards her. It’s unfortunate that one manager can ruin an experience.

Great service, drinks, & food. Lovely spot for a date night or any special, intimate location. For a Monday night they had a full house. I was glad that I made reservations and they seated us within 5 minutes. Always love the welcoming champagne and the ambiance. We really enjoyed the Peach Bourbon drink, the Cajun Blackened Chicken, the Shrimp Ravioli & Creme Brûlée Cheesecake. I miss the Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli but it was still good. The potatoes on the chicken were really good too.

Collin was a great server, food an ambiance was great, as were the drinks. Appreciated not being charged for a tip directly on my bill as I was at a different restaurant down the street. Would recommend. Left very happy.

Great food and fun atmosphere. Service has been poor the last few times we have been to the restaurant. The service was very slow and inattentive.
