Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

Went to Joe’s for the first time in years for my husband’s birthday. Was not as good as we remembered, but had no actual complaints. Service was good. The portions of food were disappointing, not a good value considering the prices. My husband’s lobster tails were the smallest I’ve ever seen, and were a bit dry. My steak was delicious, my shrimps were kind of small, too.

I found the custom of everyone yelling when a certain drink (shark something) was ordered to be loud and disruptive

The food was amazing. Just love the variety of seafood on their menu. This place has a great river view. We were even treated to a fireworks show.

This was good food however the ambiance was not enjoyable. They must have sung happy birthday to 9 tables at the highest volume possible and it was very disturbing to our meal. I actually will not return as it was so distributive to our tables conversation and ability to talk with each other.

Sharing email to Alain (AGM) this morning. After a really bad experience, two years prior, both Alain and Alberto really helped to make our 21st wedding anniversary special and memorable. Hi Alain, On behalf of my wife, Lily, and I, we want to thank both Alberto (hoping we got name right; didn’t have receipt at end of night) and yourself for making our visit a good one. Our experience end to end was very nice and assure you, we will return again before two years passes. Make sure to thank Alberto and perhaps offer him an accommodation for providing exemplary service, with a smile, but also included patience for us as we just wanted to enjoy our time at your restaurant and with each other. Both of you made our 21st Wedding Anniversary very special and for that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you! Best, Chris G.

We went to celebrate my husband’s 45th birthday and The overall appeal of Joe’s crab shack was very pleasant. Unfortunately we weren’t able to sit outside as originally requested but we enjoyed dinner just the same. My brother-in-law didn’t receive his food until we were just about ready to leave the restaurant that was a little disappointing.

Horrible service. Moved to another table with permission and got blamed for just moving and that is the reason for our food to be delayed and given to some other table. The server went to us once nothing else she did because give us the bill because we didn’t want to eat the food that was serviced to another table after waiting for over an hour when half the restaurant was empty. Do not go there.
