    Food was delicious. Not thrilled about the service. Felt we were being rushed especially when the waiter brought over the desert cart while I was still eating my dinner. And I was surprised that there was a service fee for using a credit card? Won’t rush to go back.

    Server was significantly better than most. I was dining with my niece. She is still a neophyte when it comes to fine dining. I am experience. Our server took great care to create an extraordinary experience for her. Well done.

    I ordered the perch lightly sauteed and the spinach just steamed. The perch came almost fried and was tasteless; the spinach was loaded with garlic. It was like I never said anything. I can get better tasting perch for considerably less at a neighborhood spot. Others ordered the barramundi (good) and the shrimp/scallops (also good). Don't think I'll return at their prices.

    Great food. I had a nice cut of tuna. It was delicious. If you like sushi, that was a great meal. My wife had lamb. She was doing less talking and more eating so I know it was good.

    I really cannnot put into words how disappointed I am in tonight’s dinning experience. We had a reservation for my Mother’s birthday, reservation time was 6:45 PM we were sat on time which was great since we had two children with us. But please note we did not leave the restaurant until 10 PM. Anyone that has children knows they do not want to be sitting for 3 1/2 + hours for anything let alone a meal. We were not served dinner until 9:15 PM at which time two of the meals came out incorrectly and had to be recooked. On top of that one of the meals had to be sent back for a second time. I can understand that some of this is not the waitress fault but not remembering drinks, and not being timely in returning to the table absolutely is. I’ve never had a dinning experience like this when you are paying over $1,200 (including tip) for a meal. Not once did the manger come over to check on the table or try to offer compensation for the delay and mixup of food. In total the food was just OK. Three of us at the table ordered the special which was a steak based meal - at the time we ordered we were not given a choice of the temperature that the steak would be cooked - in retrospect we should have asked but the meat came out “medium rare” mine was more on the rare side. The waitress did apologize for not asking / explaining that it would come out at that temperature. The other item that is very disappointing is they add an additional 4% if you would like to pay with a credit card. I don’t have a problem with this but when you make a reservation you should be told about the convenience charge. That way if patrons want to pay cash they can make sure to make arrangements for this. I think it’s very tacky to add this on to a bill with no mention of it. All and all super disappointing - this was roughly our 4th time dinning here and will definitely be our last. I would highly recommend not dinning with Joe Muer - Bloomfield Hills.
