This is definitely a place I’ll return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience. It’s absolutely worth a visit!

Jeff Ruby’s is always towards the top of any list, but on this visit, it seemed as though they were off their peak. Our salads came out undressed. No dressing. At all. Hard to understand how an oversight like that occurred. The holiday background music cut out for 15-20 minutes replaced by nothing but dead air, which was very jarring for the ambience. Some dishes have been deprecated over the months, with the Country Ham board not being quite what it once was in composition. Service was fine, with our assistant server being spectacular. Our main server was adequate but the pacing was slooooooow. The mains were very good with our steaks and bacon jam being spectacular as always. The whipped potatoes were exceptionally good. Dessert service was also very nice, and the Bananas Foster was delicious. In the past, the failings we experienced likely would have never happened. That, combined with other easy little details to fix, such as badly bent tines on forks, really detracted from Jeff Ruby’s being the pinnacle of fine dining in Lexington. I’d still recommend it for a special night out. But, with the price asked comes an expectation of excellence. Jeff Ruby’s just needs to smooth out some rough edges and continue investing in their soft and hard products.

We went out for my husband's birthday and it was our first time ever going to jeff ruby's. I'm telling you it was amazing. The staff was on point and friendly. Our waiter Johnathan was amazing. He walked us through the menu, continuously checked on us, and gave his honest opinions on the menu items. We had the Japanese A5 filet, and I'm telling you, u won't regret it. It's the best melt in your mouth steak we ever had. Thank you all for making our night memorable!

It was high top seating, but there was such an enormous group at the bar , the people were continually on us and touching us and it was a very uncomfortable dining experience. They finally cleared out and by the tail end of the meal a whole other group formed and then they were on us yet again. For a 500 dollar dinner , that is not how it should go. I’ve been to a few Jeff Ruby’s and this one was probably the lowest when compared to the food ( which is still good) and atmosphere in the high top area.
