The waitstaff are all helpful and friendly, and of course the food is delicious and very satisfying.

We have been attending this restaurant for 8 years and we love it each time. The dishes are delicious and the service is friendly, efficient and attentive. Besides the great food you get live jazz music a few days of the week, where else do you get that?

Absolutely delicious food! We highly rate the Gyoza and the Salmon Sashimi and the dessert made with icecream and matcha. Wonderful friendly, helpful service. Many gluten free options were appreciated. Music was a positive addition to the atmosphere. Fabulous decor.

When I arrived, we were literally ignored by servers, no one greeted us or asked us if we had a reservation or anything - nothing. We had to go up and ask and then we got seated, we had a group which was running late so we understand. However when everyone was here and they finally passed around the menu etc, we waited a very very long time until anyone came up to us. We had to actually wave down a server and ask if we could order as it seemed like we were being ignored or they just did not have enough people who were actually covering the restaurant. To top it off the menu was a little confusing and the server didn’t really explain anything to ask we had to specifically as multiple questions. Once we did order everything, we had to ask ourselves for table water as we didn’t get any and then we had waited a very long time for all our food to come out. The worst thing that happened was that despite ordering all at once all our food came out one by one and in a terrible order. For example we got all our starters so like the edamame and nori chips out and then we waited a long time for the next dish to come out. So between each dish was a long waiting time. In addition to that the food was coming out so slow, for example, we ordered 4 scallops, we received 3 on a plate first and then a few minutes later we received the last one on a separate plate. The food was okay, it’s what you expect, however alot of the sauces had this strange tasting wasabi on it which wasn’t very good. We all collectively agreed the best thing this night was the fries we ordered. I think if you are not equipped to handle large groups, do not allow for group bookings. The ambience was really hard as the “live jazz” music which is just someone on the piano was extremely loud, therefore the whole restaurant was trying to talk over each other making it really hard to hear. Definitely will not be coming back sorry.

Blown away by the food. Everything was just incredible. My friends and I have Japanese often and this was just mind boggling. The eggplant, gyoza and brussel sprouts were absolute standouts. The music wasn’t too loud but added to the night. Will absolutely be back !

The waiters and the musicians made everything such a memorable experience! It was a wonderful night for my boyfriend. They did a small birthday surprise for him and it was perfect! Food was amazing, props to the cooks. Everything exceeded my expectations
