I’ve been eating at Jax since they opened in Boulder. This was the first time at the Glendale location. The food was good but not equal in preparation to past experiences and prices are about at the upper level I would pay. Plating was very good. Wine list could use some help at the bottle level. Markups were silly on some bottles.. and we can’t figure out why wine consumption is decreasing? Service was good but uneven as the server had tables on both ends of the restaurant. O ver a nice experience and I might try again at another location.

I want to preface this by saying I am usually a huge fan of Jax. My wife and I celebrated our engagement at the downtown location over 25 years ago and we have regularly frequented the Boulder, downtown and Glendale locations ever since. Our experience last night was wholly disappointing. Our drinks - dirty martini and sangria - were weak. We had a sampling of oysters which were fine and French fries, which we enjoyed. However, the peel and eat shrimp were rubbery. A place like Jax should not be serving that sort of quality seafood. The shrimp from our local grocery store is better quality. Service and atmosphere were good, but not enough to make up for the disappointing cocktails and shrimp…not worth the $125 bill.

The food here is always good - char-grilled oysters are the stars of the menu and the whole table ate all those and then started working on a passel of raw oysters. Wine list is great, the entrees were all great. The only comment is that it seemed as though there weren’t enough support people on the floor. Our waiter was great but the table needed someone to bus, refresh water and replace napkins as needed. Jax is a great restaurant with wonderful options and a broad-ranging palette of flavors. Highly recommend.

We had drinks and small plates, wonderful experience overall, but special recognition goes to our waiter, Cody. Hands down the best waiter I’ve had anywhere this year. He gave us excellent suggestions and was attentive, without being overbearing, during the entire meal. Kudos to Cody!!

Decent meal in Denver - easy to get a reservation in a pinch. We were there on Sunday evening and the woman in management was giving "feedback" to a waitstaff team that was working really hard. The feedback was snarky and was making the guests feel uncomfortable.

We had another great meal at Jax, Glendale to celebrate my wife's birthday. Jax is our favorite spot in Denver for halibut. The halibut preparation changes from time to time but is always excellent. I also recommend the outstanding wedge salad. Service is also very good.
