Excellent as always. Sevice and food are always great. Last night’s standout was the shrimp cocktail. We ordered two and when they arrived they looked almost like a tartare with bits of shrimp on top and dollops of unknown sauce around the edges. Thought they may misheard our order. But much to our delight, it was a de-constructed shrimp cocktail with rich, spicy, lemony delightful flavors. See you there soon!

Jax is always a favorite. This may have been the best food experience I've had in my 5 years visiting Jax. They easily accommodated our last minute request to sit outside. We started with the Lobster Deviled Eggs, and the Tuna Poke with Sushi Rice, Serrano, and Ginger Ponzu. I am not generally a fan of Poke but this was my favorite dish of the night. For entrees we had the Connecticut Style Lobster Roll with Fries, and the Peppercorn Crusted Ahi Tuna with Crispy Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus, and Horseradish Crema. Unfortunately, we didn't have any room left for dessert. Don't forget to get a round of oyster shooters for the table! (If you like spicy, request their Habanero Tequila instead of the Cucumber Vodka)😉

Typically this is one of our favorites. Hoping to have just caught them on an off night. Unfortunately, with a reservation we were still wedged into a small table between two other tables. I could hear the neighboring tables conversation over my wife for majority of the night. Service was average at best. Slow to be acknowledged, then some of the items that were ordered were never delivered. Luckily we were not billed for the undelivered items. Managers typically make their way around the dining room checking on tables. The manager on this evening was around, and I was hoping he would stop by the table but never did. Overall disappointing for the first time ever.

We had a fantastic meal. Starting with the bread. My husband ordered mussels which he eats frequently and said it was one of the best he’d ever had. I had the seared ahi tuna which was sublime. An array of wonderful tastes. We were worried about the noise level when we walked in, however they must have done a good job with ceiling baffles, etc. because we had no problem hearing once we were seated. The service was great.

Jax is always great. The classics, like peel and eat shrimp and calamari, are always delicious and the menu always has something new. I forgot my phone and one of the staff members ran down Pearl Street to return it. 😍

Our first time in Boulder, CO and Jax was recommended to us. It was amazing all the way around! Energetic greeting from the hostess. Terrific waitress Katie who was helpful, really nice, and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave us that extra care an out-of-towner needs, without being intrusive. Food was delicious -- pepper crusted ahi tuna, crabcake, and those incredible oysters. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Exceeded our expectations for sure!

We visited Jax to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Food, drink and service were all five-star. Plus, because it was a special occasion, we ordered dessert and the limoncello gelato was the best. Thx to everyone at Jax.

We came in for my partners birthday. Our servers took great care of us and we really enjoyed everything we ordered; the blackened catfish dish was next level! Also so nice to have the key lime pie come out with a candle as a surprise for him! Thanks to our server for facilitating… That was the best key lime we’ve ever had— the brûlée was an unexpected touch and really elevated the taste and texture. Everything was fresh, tasty and a great value.
