Welcome to The Norwich Inn

The Norwich Inn has a foundation that dates back to 1797 when Colonel Jasper Murdock served his first ale. Since 1797 the restaurant has constantly evolved to what it is today.

At The Norwich Inn, we view our food philosophy as a celebration of ingredients that are cherished in our community. We are a revitalization of food identity, culture, and authenticity. Our restaurant is not one concept, but rather a lifestyle, thus, we must constantly change in order to stay the same. We strive to create honest and wholesome experiences for each guest.

We feature an onsite brewery that focuses on handcrafted English ales.

We are currently open for Indoor and Outdoor dining please notate your preference in your reservation.

Minimal specials, limited menu, ho-hum dessert offerings. We were seated in the bar -- no ambience. Oh well. There are not a lot of dining choices in Norwich.

This place was cute but service was slow and more significantly the burger was pretty terrible. It was dry, overcooked, and the bun was cold and kind of stale. Very unimpressive for the cost. The drinks were good though.

Hi Jacyln, I am so sorry this was your experience last night. Our Burgers are one of our top items and people usually rave about them. They are made with local grass fed beef. It's obvious that in the extra business of foliage season we missed the mark on your service and order. I apologize that we couldn't make it right for you during your visit. I promise if you come back we will correct the issue. The food was delicious. There was some confusion about being able to sit outside with our dog. It turned out that dogs are not allowed on the patio, but there is a take-out spot where you can sit outside with your dog.

My first day back since Covid 19 “ending”. I was pleased to see that the menu stayed pretty much the same. We ate outside which was nice. Only noise factor really was a group of women celebrating something good which had happened for one. So it was very acceptable noise. A fun early fall evening.

Server was not attentive to patrons Bartender was very loud and unprofessional Cesar salad came without dressing Fish and chips not cooked fully High cost for what was given, Chillis or 99 would have been a better option for the evening.

My friends and I had a delicious dinner in a beautiful outdoor setting. I am a vegetarian, and had several good choices -- my friends who are not were happy as well. Desserts were amazing!

Love the new updates to the decor. Except for the plastic blue flowers everywhere PS this is Vermont fresh flowers grow all over the place.
