EXPERIENCE TEPPANYAKI
Japan Inn was established in 1990 when founders opened their first location in Plantation, FL. Since then we have been serving an extended variety of Japanese and Thai food including fresh sushi. We had the honor to be named Best Sushi Restaurant in Plantation by Hometown Herald readers.

In 2002 a second location was opened in Weston, FL, and soon enough it was voted Best Japanese Restaurant by “Best of Weston”.

Our third location was opened in Doral, FL during the summer of 2019, and we plan to keep growing to share our food and entertainment with our customers all over South Florida. The Japan Inn Group also owns Kimura Japanese Steak & Seafood located in Boynton Beach, FL.

Cook was very nice but not many "tricks" were done. We were hoping for more especially when the other tables had wild fire shows and lots of energy. Restaurant felt dirty, there was a leak from the vent above our table, service was blah, everybody has a bit of a sour face in there. Food portions were very small when it came to the meats. Plenty of rice! But barely any meat. This was our first and last time at this location. Unfortunately, for hibachi we will stick to the other large chain where food and service is more dependable.

The chef was new and dumped lots of pepper on all of the food while cooking. As a result, the food was nearly inedible for me and my children.

The restaurant was very loud the whole time we were there. I had a reservation for 8:00, sat down by 8:10, but the chef didn’t arrive to cook until 8:50! The value of the food was very good in comparison to other restaurants in the area, just need more chefs….a new hostess with less attitude.

Waited 45 minutes after reservation. Order was wrong, the cook mixed up everyone’s order. He was new so I wasn’t too upset. 81 degrees in restaurant. Very overrated

Busy and noisy but worth the visit. Good value, quality, leisurely service. Come here for the experience, but not to have a cohesive conversation! A lot of special occasions/large parties keep the place lively. And one more thing: all those hibachi grills put out a lot of heat, so suggest dressing appropriately. P.S. Found out subsequently to my visit that the elimination of the 2-shrimp appetizer on hibachi meals was not a one-off occurrence, but a permanent change. ☹️

It was a lovely experience. They pack people in, and it's very tight if you have a stroller. GOOD LUCK! You'll need people to be courteous to maneuver around. You are better off bringing a carrier only. Some chefs are better than others. Our chef was friendly but did not have much showmanship; he just did straight cooking and walked away a lot, going to the back. There was a lot more action and laughter coming from other tables. The food was good. We have no complaints.
