Jang – the name stemming from the Korean word for sauce – is where the flavours of Seoul meet the spirit of Kyoto, all within a Grade I Listed London landmark.

Taking flavours from her hometown of Gwangju as well as impressions from Seoul, Kyoto and beyond, head chef Dana Choi has created a menu that champions techniques from both countries, using the best of British produce.

Set right in the heart of the City, Jang is open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Friday. This is an intimate and sumptuous space with nods to Asian heritage throughout and is just as well suited for a corporate catch-up or a business dinner as a long lunch or a date night.

For one night only, Jang’s brilliant Head Chef Dana Choi will be cooking with her mentor - award-winning international chef and restaurateur -Judy Joo, once again. The duo have prepared an exquisite six-course Korean Banquet, including traditional Korean Mandu dumplings stuffed with wild mushrooms, Pajeong pork, seafood and spring onion pancake, with the main event of either barbecued wagyu beef or lobster served Hanseng-style with an array of delicious accompaniments. Spaces are priced at £110 per person and are strictly limited, so early booking is advised!

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect mix of beautiful decor. The food was outstanding, everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. We tried Jang KFC, Yuk Hwe steak tartare, K-BBQ, Spicy Miso Black Cod and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, always ready to explain the menu and make great recommendations. The service was prompt, and we never felt rushed, which made our dining experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine!
