All of this amazing food pairs perfectly with our signature cocktails. The bar is the pride and glory of the Jane Doe experience. Each of our drinks is made by mixologists, not just bartenders looking for weekend work. This helps you taste every ounce of the passion and dedication we used to make these drinks perfect!

The warm and inviting atmosphere of our cocktail bar is accentuated by vinyl records playing throughout. We think this makes the perfect setting to enjoy our cocktails and makes both intimate dinners and lively gatherings complete.

My only critique is really the food. While we had a good meal, theres just too much going on in terms of flavor. The crispy mushroom appetizer was so saturated in sauce it was hard to discern what you were eating. The branzino was great, but again, there were so many sides that it didnt feel cohesive. What’s supoosed to be the star of the dish? The corn puree had too much going on. The green beans were actually quite good, but then there was another sauce and then dollops of aoili. When there are so many competing flavors it’s hard to tell what the focus of the dish is. In this case, less is more. I’ve been here before and the pastas are quite good. Too bad the entrees are a little too complicated for their own good.

Went for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely outstanding. Some of the best food I’ve had in general, definitely the best in Jersey City. We had the linguine which was cooked al dente and the fusion of Japanese flavors with pesto worked really well. The whipped ricotta and crispy mushrooms were also phenomenal. Highly recommended. Service was super polite and accommodating as well. My girlfriend has a severe tree but and peanut allergy and they made us feel very safe. Thanks again for a great night!!

Staff was absolutely incredible! Food was super unique, we loved the combinations of flavors. The restaurant itself was also beautiful and felt romantic.

Great meal! Japanese sweet potatoes as starter, pasta and burger for entrees, all were great. The "layered fries" were off-the-charts great; a totally original dish. Cocktails were excellent. The s'mores semifreddo for dessert could use a bit of work though; the chocolate chips were hard enough to crack a tooth!

my new FAVORITE restaurant in Jersey City. Everything was perfect, the ambiance, service, food and drinks. I also really appreciated that they changed out our plates and silverware between courses and did not rush us. We were there for 2 hours and had the best time.

A beautiful space, delicious cocktails and food. Attentive, friendly service. Dishes came out very fast and we felt a bit rushed. Overall a great experience.
