There were so many tempting items on the menu that we decided to try out a few appetizers and then move on to dessert. We absolutely loved the garlic shrimp! The hummus and flatbread apps were really good too. All three appetizer plates were good-sized, too. And then the coconut cake was amazing - perfectly moist, not too sweet, lovely coconut. In addition, my wife ordered the strawberry basil drink, which she thought was excellent. Our server, Na, was outstanding. She took amazing care of us, being sure to keep us informed on the progress of our orders and to check on us frequently (but not too much). Na was very attentive, friendly, helpful and energetic. There's nothing quite like eating at a restaurant when the server is top notch. We enjoyed this experience so much, that a few days later we went back for another dinner. Sadly, the experience was not as good. We found that while the appetizers and desserts were still excellent, the entrees were just ok. Specifically, I had the Cajun mahi mahi and found the fish to be somewhat overcooked and on the dry side with the Cajun seasoning lacking in flavor. My wife had a chicken penne dish and described it as "ok". The service also was not as good (no Na), and the food took a long time to arrive. Even the strawberry basil drink was not quite as good. So our recommendation: ask to be seated in Na's section, and stick to the apps and desserts.

We’ve eaten here many times and have always loved it. Tonight my only complaint was that there was zero recognition of my husband’s birthday. I mentioned it on the OpenTable form and clicked the “birthday” box as well. I had hoped for at least a happy birthday wish from the server (or special something with a candle on it) but I’m not sure if the hostess told her. So it didn’t end up feeling like a special dinner unfortunately

The menu hasn't changed in years and the quality of the food was just okay. A big disappointment. We look forward to dining at Jane Bistro, and make sure we go at least once, when visiting Hilton Head. Time to find a new favorite place to dine.

It was Father's Day so things were busy which is why the 4 for speed/service. But our waitress was still great. We sat outside and there was a nice breeze for a very warm Sunday (our reservation was at 1PM). The food is always great. I had the lorraine omelette and my wife the shrimp and lobster cake over avocado toast with scrambled eggs. Delicious.
