Michelin-starred Jamavar London, located on Mayfair’s iconic Mount Street is celebrated for its gracious hospitality, inviting atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings inspired by the Viceroy’s House in New Delhi, the acclaimed restaurant is a rendition of a palatial Indian dining experience in the heart of Mayfair.

Here, exceptional pan-Indian dishes are thoughtfully prepared by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Surender Mohan using the freshest British produce and most authentic Indian cooking techniques. Food was excellent. Service was great especially our waiter, Khadak, who was very attentive. We were seated downstairs which was disappointing because we did have reservations well in advance. The tasting menu was great but the last dish served prior to dessert was too large after eating 4 courses. The butter chicken dish served as the 5th dish ended up dry. Overall great food and would eat there again!

Food quality is going down. Manger arguing with his staff for 30m. Spoilt the ambience.

We enjoyed an excellent meal, the staff were as expected first class. The tables are quite close to each other, well almost touching around the sides. Could not fault the food it was of a high standard. Was this value for money? Not sure, 2 courses two beers and a bottle of water and no change out of £165. Having said that we enjoyed the experience.

Fabulous restaurant. The service and food were exceptionally good. We never felt rushed. Great experience.

Excellent food and couldn't fault it all . Service, however was poor, with waiters unpolished in terms of etiquette and service. Service was slow, sommelier out if sync with the food service, servers were stressed, plates thrown down on the table , poor food explanations . All in all a good dining experience let down by poor service. Not worthy of a 1 michelin star and its prices . I would rather go to its sister restaurant Bombay Bustle.

The service was horrible for an almost empty restaurant. We had to ask for water, food items for the main course came separately for me and my partner. We left the dessert after one small bite, no one even bothered asking if we liked the food. The food itself was reasonable, for the most part, authentic flavors and good plating. NEVER going back. We tried all of the other Michelin Indian restaurants during our trip, this was by far the worst.
