Michelin-starred Jamavar London, located on Mayfair’s iconic Mount Street is celebrated for its gracious hospitality, inviting atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings inspired by the Viceroy’s House in New Delhi, the acclaimed restaurant is a rendition of a palatial Indian dining experience in the heart of Mayfair.

Here, exceptional pan-Indian dishes are thoughtfully prepared by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Surender Mohan using the freshest British produce and most authentic Indian cooking techniques. To be honest I had high expectations. My first impression was the lady seating us, who looked miserable and didn’t offer to take our coats, no idea but anyway. We shared 4 starters, best was cauliflower & the weak one was the octopus, chewy & pretty average. Mains - bass & chicken tikka were ok/good, lamb & butter chicken pretty underwhelming. The whole evening was improved by the desserts, which were def the best course - chilli choc fondant, and ginger walnut cheesecake were great. The general servers were polite and pleasant, service charge was only 5% 👍🏼 Overall nice - but Michelin star 🤔 and unfortunately I won’t be back.

The food was not exceptinal and I don't understand why this restaurant receive Michelin's star. The staff was not smiling. This restaurant does not deserve Michelin's recognition.

VeryGood and delicious Food👍🏻 .. The prices are a bit high, The waiter are friendly, BUT! The waiters supervisor was not nice to me, and he didn’t respect my request in setting upstairs!! With ni reason, so I had to explain that my mother have a problem with using the stairs .. ⛔️ Double check bill …..
