Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Angel, Islington. Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Fusing their love for plant-based food with their Caribbean roots, they identified a niche gap in the market for authentic, Modern Caribbean Vegan Cuisine. With five-star reviews across the board from both customers and food critics alike, the siblings have now opened their first ever flagship restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Angel, Islington.

Jam Sessions, an exclusive supper club series inspired by Caribbean cuisine, is presented in collaboration with our executive chef, Nathan Collymore, who will unveil a five-course vegan festive tasting menu on Tuesday 17th December. This festive menu will highlight Nathan's commitment to authentic Caribbean flavours and innovative culinary techniques. Guests can look forward to dishes such as BBQ jerk plantain stuffed with flavourful jerk oyster mushrooms and creamy whipped pimento feta, alongside the traditional bread and butter pudding crafted from Jamaican spiced bun, elegantly drizzled with rum caramel and white chocolate custard, and garnished with a sweet and tangy mango and pineapple compote.

The food was amazing. The cocktails were tasty. Service was OK but a little slow at times, probably due to it being a busy night.

Hands down the best food we’ve ever had. My second time there, can’t wait to come back soon. You guys are something else, if I could give you a Michelin star I’d give a thousand. A massive thank you to the chef and all staff! ❤️

Kept being told what time they needed the table back from the moment I arrived, however no one came to take a drink order for 45mins and when wanting dessert no one was around to ask, only able to order when they came to tell us when they needed the table back again… extremely tasty food though and all servers were extremely pleasant, they could just maybe do with some more staff and maybe have slightly more of a buffer between bookings or just tell customers once when their table will be needed. Would go again though.

OMG, the food tantalised my taste buds. It’s, by far the best vegan Caribbean food I’ve ever had, 10000000000/10. It’s on the steep side, but well worth it for a special occasion and a treat. The service on the other hand could have been better, they need to step up on this. Overall, it was lovely and it lived up to my expectations. If I could get away with licking the plate, I would have lol. Great restaurant, definitely will recommend and attend again.

The food was amazing. Went with a vegan and a non vegan and both enjoyed it equally. The vegan ‘chicken’ particularly shined and the dessert was delicious and a perfect size to share. The service staff were very attentive and the food came quickly but we didn’t feel rushed. Was a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

I recently dined at Jam Delish and had high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. A menu that seemed to promise bold, inventive flavors. But from the first bite, it was clear something was amiss. We ordered Trinidadian Doubles, Trinidadian Pelau Arancini, Jamaican Fried Chicken and Jamaican Gravy, Mac and Cheese and Bacon Mac and Cheese. There was barely any seasoning. It was far from the delectable, vibrant and flavourful meals we were expecting. Overall, the food felt uninspired and poorly executed. For the price, I expected much more. I left Jam Delish feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

I like Jam Delish, and the service and atmosphere has improved since co-founder Jordan left the front of house (he somehow brought an aggy vibe) The food is still really good, and a chilled, relaxed atmosphere is now in evidence. I preferred the in house mock meat to the mushroom versions : the jerk chicken skewer is still the best thing. Props to chef Nathan though, who is innovative and the new additions have diversified to encompass broader Carribbean options. Not a cheap option, but still potentially unique in offering a high end vegan Carribbean experience (other pop ups and Ital but not quite the same)
