Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Angel, Islington. Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Fusing their love for plant-based food with their Caribbean roots, they identified a niche gap in the market for authentic, Modern Caribbean Vegan Cuisine. With five-star reviews across the board from both customers and food critics alike, the siblings have now opened their first ever flagship restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Angel, Islington.

    Jam Delish introduced Jam Sessions, a unique Caribbean-inspired guest chef series, earlier this month, in partnership with our executive chef Nathan Collymore. Following the success of Jam Sessions #1, renowned Michelin-trained chef and MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 semi-finalist Michelle Trusselle will be the second chef to team up with Nathan, presenting a five-course vegan 🌱 tasting menu on Tuesday 30 July. After gaining experience in various prestige restaurants such as The Savoy, Claridge’s, and La Trompette, Michelle established the contemporary Caribbean dining brand Myristica in 2018. The Jam Sessions #2 menu will showcase Nathan and Michelle's dedication to authentic Caribbean flavours and innovative cooking methods.

                                                                                Food was amazing, you could be a meat eater and still love this restaurant. Food is top quality, I would recommend it to everyone. The only problem is that I want to know what’s in the “it’s a secret cocktail”

                                                                                We reserved a table for the 2 or 3 course menu, on arrival waited a little while to be seated, service was quite slow waited 30 mins to be able to order. The main chicken dishes were all sold out (we then decided to share 3 starters on the server’s recommendation) food was good, left after 1.5 hrs having just about had starters and waiting for a dessert. Food was good just left a bit disappointed by the overall experience.

                                                                                Overall experience was amazing. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The “chicken” and gravy (currently oyster mushrooms and gravy) was particularly nice. I can’t recommend this place enough.

                                                                                Super excited about trying Jam Delish but sadly was a real average experience. Meals were just large and stodgy with one overwhelming flavour rather than lots of intricate flavours and fresh food. There’s a small cafe style place in Brixton market that does infinitely better Vegan Caribbean Cuisine than here. The cheesecake was nice but was probably the only item that met my expectations. Sad as was excited to try one of the ‘Jam Sessions’ but will definitely give it a miss now.

                                                                                The food here was AMAZING!!! We’ve never had vegan Caribbean before. I’ll definitely be coming back until I’ve tried everything on the menu. And I went with meat eaters who loved it too!!!
