While our server, the food and the company was great, I have no idea why I bothered to make a reservation since we got seated right next to the kitchen door. I understand we were late by ten minutes, but that was wholly disappointing.

The food was delicious. The food was all delicious. The shrimp dish was a little salty. Otherwise a delightful meal with an excellent server.

We had great tapas here. The waiter was amazing and knew every detail of every dish. He suggested a great bottle of wine for us as well. The desserts were wonderful. We ordered 3 and shared.

Was delighted to dine at Jaleo. This is my second Jose Andres restaurant, and I need to go to many more. I was with two other people and we ordered the $65 pp tasting menu. I’m not sure how many dishes came out, but I estimate at least 10, plus dessert (a really beautiful flan). A few dishes were tapas (perfect Iberian ham, marvelous croquettes, a heavenly beet gazpacho), but most plates were heaping side dishes and the meat dishes were sizable. Standouts were a delectable spinach, brussels sprouts, potatoes bravas, absolutely perfect fried eggplant, and perfectly done ribeye. Every bite was delicious. The service was gracious and fast. I will return next time I’m in DC.

The endive salad with orange and goat cheese was incredible. The garlic shrimp also stood out. The lunch deal is the way to go! Great value and we shared bites of all the dishes. Comfortable and inviting restaurant!

We are very disappointed with the service we received at Jaleo on nov 3, before the Chayanne concert. We had a 6:45 PM reservation, but upon arrival, we encountered significant issues at the host stand that left us feeling frustrated and disrespected. Despite arriving on time, we waited for about 10 minutes before the host acknowledged us. I reminded her that we needed to get to a concert, but her response was dismissive and rude. Even more concerning, she chose to seat a party of four before us, even though their reservation was not until 9 PM, citing this decision as the manager Matthew’s call. When I politely suggested the possibility of splitting a table for 4 to accommodate us, the host responded with a condescending attitude, stating, “Split a table! It’s not possible.” Additionally, Matthew, who was also present, did not assist in finding a solution. Instead, he moved us to a corner under the claim that we were in the way, even though there were about ten other patrons standing in the same area who were not asked to move. This treatment felt particularly disrespectful and dismissive. Fortunately, another manager noticed our situation -Adam Zeitler- and promptly took action to seat us. His attentiveness and efficiency helped turn around what had been a very negative start to our evening. His professionalism and willingness to help were greatly appreciated, and he is the only reason we remained at Jaleo to enjoy our meal. This experience, however, was not up to the standard of service we expected from Jaleo, and it has left a lasting impression on us. I hope that, in the future, you will address these customer service issues to ensure that every guest feels valued and respected. At the end. they did not provide the host's name.

We were seated next to a group of women playing fusball, drinking a lot, boisterous cheering, and making conversation at surrounding tables difficult. And, I am now thinking pricing is too high!
