    I was at Jaleo twice within the same week. First time it was great! Second time the staff wasn’t attentive. Waited a long time to get my drink, couldn’t enjoy it with my food. Some of the food was greasy. Lastly, they placed a plate that I didn’t order on my table which I didn’t touch. Next thing you know a waiter comes and picks up the plate with attitude as if I was going to eat it?! They were all over the place last night. I definitely expect a different type of service at that price point.

    Loved the new (?) lunch menu! I really prefer “traditional” gazpacho. Took a friend for her first time and she loved it too!

    We enjoyed an authentic Spanish meal. The tapas were excellent- Spanish cheeses; the croquets out of this world; the pan con tomate a delight and the torta de queso for dessert the best I have tried in the US!! If you want to feel you are dining at a wonderful restaurant in Spain , come to Jaleo DC to enjoy a truly authentic delicious spanish meal .

    We did the Jose's Way tasting menu. Nothing was bad, it's just that none of the dishes were great. The service was great, but I expected better food.

    We went as a family during the 4th of July holiday and the food was almost as spectacular as the fireworks! Dishes were served warm and fresh in great portions, and the flavors reflected that. The restaurant environment and service added to our great experience.

    Not worth the money, food average, drinks OK, service bad. Will recommend as a place to get a drink but not to dine. Los calamares en su tinta muy buenos. La versión de fabada gringa pésima . Las croquetas muy malas.

    Jaleo never disappoints. Been going since '96 and it never gets tired. If you like Jaleo, try Bazaar, Oyamel, China Chilcano and Zaytinya.
