    This was the third time and can’t wait to go again. Unbelievable food, efficient and courteous service, very trendy decor. Porcini carpaccio, grilled octopus, apple/manchego salad, tomato bread were mouthwatering. We tried chocolate mousse with ice cream for the first time, and it was delicious.

    We’ve been enjoying dining at Jaleo for about 25 years now. It’s our most consistent dinner stop when attending Shakespeare Theatre plays next door or around the corner. Tapas, drinks, and ambiance are all exceptional and Andres and his chefs continually add new modern tapas to try. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the meal and experience. We’ve hosted several family celebrations there. Jose Andres’ original DC restaurant continues to shine brightly.

    We had a wonderful meal. Had the Jose’s way tasting menu. Lots of interesting and tasty things to eat.

    Fabulous tapas style dinner. The octopus was divine. Perfectly seasoned and tender. I’m already wanting more. The 3 cheese flight was sublime. But far and above the most fascinating dish was the liquid olives! Molecular Gastronomy to the max. And if they weren’t enough on their own they came with anchovy stuffed olives. Mmmmmmm!

    Per usual, tapas are high priced and small portions. I expected that. But I did expect to receive all the dishes ordered, which we did not. I was “time boxed” in order to get to a show and had to forgo this dish. Aside from walking away still a bit hungry, the dishes were good, but nothing noteworthy. They seem to be trading off off the Andreas name more than delivering an exceptional experience. Try Barcelona. Much better tapas in my opinion.

    Jaleo never misses! The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance is great. The wine selection is wonderful, too!

    This is the best of all of Jose Andres restaurants in DC. Good food, good wins-for those who know Spanish grapes and very nice, informal service.
