I came back to visit Seattle and Jak's after I moved away 20 years ago. The steak was as good as I remember, maybe even better. Very tender and flavorful. I really am glad I made the time to have dinner. Well worth it.

The waitstaff is always so kind and the food is always so perfect. I love that when I order rare steak, it is exactly what I am expecting. The potato pancakes and their house salad are magnificent sides.

Amazing food and service as always! Loved our perfectly cooked steaks and appetizers. Jak’s never fails to impress.

Over time Jaks has raised prices and reduced what comes with their food. You used to get a salad, potato, and veggies with a steak. A few months ago you got to choose 2 sides with a steak. Last night you get one side which you could not choose from the list of sides. I like the carrots and asparagus, but if I wanted those it would cost $23 dollars extra, or something close to that. So it's very disappointing. I feel like the size of the steaks have shrunk for the price. It's good food but I won't be going as often unfortunately.

Yes, there have been some minor changes based on guest feedback, but we are proud to boast that JaK's Grill is one of the very few steakhouses to still offer complimentary salad(s) and potato options with their steaks. We are also happy to prepare half orders of asparagus and carrots for you! Just ask your server or ask for me (Brett).

Solid. Best steak in West Seattle period. Staff was very friendly. Outstanding casual bar scene.

The JaK's we know and love is gone. Smaller portions on smaller plates - VERY EXPENSIVE

Please be aware I NEVER complain or post reviews. But, I have seem similar posts about Jak's and I have to join the club of naysayers. We have been coming to Jak's for 20+ years in West Seattle. I have been getting the Skewers and have never tried any other item for myself. My last visit, the meat was tough, the cheese had changed and to be honest, I thought I misordered. The plates don't come with the signature broccoli and we were told they used to throw it out as people weren't eating it. The signature included salad is no longer offered or on the menu. Other members, their first time, thought it was alright. Over the years we have introduced a lot of people to Jaks's and they have always been blown away and have added it to their routine. Sadly, we will not be returning. Please keep this in the post: The staff has always been amazing and continues to be amazing!!
